Visit of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives
Bandung (08/12) – PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) received a Specific Working Visit from Commission VII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) and the Ministry of Industry (ILMATE). The entourage, led by Saleh Partaonan Daulay, was directly welcomed by PTDI's Director of Production, Dena Hendriana, Director of Finance, Risk Management & HR, Dhias Widhiyati, along with the ranks of PTDI management, as well as representatives from PT Len Industri (Persero) management, in the Plenary Meeting Room on the 9th Floor, Nurtanio Building, Bandung. This visit is part of the DPR RI's oversight function on national strategic industries, particularly the energy, research, and aerospace technology sectors.
On this occasion, PTDI presented a number of supports expected from Commission VII of the DPR RI to ensure the sustainability of operations and the expansion of future markets. This support includes the commercialization of the N219 aircraft, covering fiscal incentives, local government block seat regulations, ease of domestic AOC permits, and financing support through Himbara (State-Owned Banks Association). PTDI also emphasized the importance of strengthening the aerospace industry ecosystem, starting from prioritizing the use of domestic industry products with high TKDN (Domestic Content Level), MRO opportunities for presidential and ministerial aircraft, to the development of local industry based on aerospace standards. Furthermore, PTDI also encouraged defence investment to support national strategic programs, including the development of the amphibious N219 and PTTA MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), the addition of production lines, non-recurring cost investment, and the construction of facilities in the Kertajati Airport area to strengthen MRO and aerostructure businesses.
PTDI Production Director, Dena Hendriana, stated, "We continue to strengthen the N219's capabilities, including for regions such as Papua, and the development of the amphibious variant to support the connectivity of remote areas. As an aircraft made in Indonesia, we hope for policy support, including fiscal support, and the support of Commission VII of the DPR RI, so that the commercialization of the N219 can run optimally and be utilized by local governments to open access to remote areas and align with national policy."
After the presentation and discussion session, the Commission VII DPR RI entourage had the opportunity to visit PTDI's production facilities, the Final Assembly Line (FAL) Hangar and the Delivery Center (DC) Hangar.
