Sikorsky signs MOU with PT Dirgantara Indonesia

Jakarta, November 4, 2022 – Public Relations of PTDI
Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company (NYSE: LMT), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) to jointly explore potential sales, production, and delivery of Sikorsky BLACK HAWK® helicopters to Indonesia.
"We’re excited as this MOU signifies our commitment to support BLACK HAWK® opportunities for Indonesia," said Eric Schreiber, Sikorsky Vice President of Commercial and International Military Business Development. "This agreement establishes a working relationship with PTDI in preparation for expected growth in Southeast Asia.â€
The MOU was finalized at this year’s Indo Defence Expo & Forum amidst ongoing efforts to support future Indonesian rotary requirements and modernization efforts.
The CEO of PTDI, Gita Amperiawan emphasized that Lockheed Martin is expected to see the opportunity to develop PTDI through partnership in current project involving Lockheed Martin and also future project.
“Lockheed Martin is expected to support PTDI in modernization of IDAF military equipment, develop PTDI engineering capability. And also ensure readiness of PTDI industrial capability to support future project of Government of Indonesia,†said Gita Amperiawan, CEO of PTDI.
