Bandung (29/08) – Under the theme “Golden Legacy, Global Horizon: Safeguarding National Sovereignty, Soaring on the Global Stage,” PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) (PTDI) commemorates its 50th Anniversary through a series of activities reflecting the Company’s commitment to strengthening the national aerospace industry, developing human resources (HR) and technology, expanding collaboration, and contributing to society.

The series of activities includes the “Piala Dirgantara” sports tournament, social initiatives, MSME empowerment programs, the National Symposium, and the inauguration of the Dirgantara Indonesia Training Center as part of the culmination of PTDI’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.

Strengthening Human Resources Development through the Dirgantara Indonesia Training Center

As part of the culmination of its 50th Anniversary celebrations, PTDI inaugurated the Dirgantara Indonesia Training Center, witnessed by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Yassierli. The inauguration was marked by the signing of an inauguration plaque, symbolizing the commencement of the facility’s utilization for competency development and improving the quality of PTDI’s human resources.

The occasion was attended by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Yassierli; Special Staff to the Minister of Manpower, Sukro Muhab; Chairman of Paguyuban, Didi Turmudzi; Chairman of Persib Bandung, Umuh Muchtar; Vice President Commissioner of PTDI, Bagus Puruhito; Commissioner of PTDI, Yusron Ihza Mahendra; as well as a number of officials from the West Java Provincial Government and Bandung City Government, along with academics from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and Universitas Nurtanio.

Minister of Manpower Yassierli expressed his appreciation for PTDI’s efforts to develop a competency development ecosystem that is aligned with industry needs and globally competitive.

“I hope that the Dirgantara Indonesia Training Center can become a role model for an integrated training center connecting domestic and international industries, with the most up-to-date curriculum modules, and producing graduates whose qualifications are recognized not only nationally but also internationally,” said Minister of Manpower Yassierli.

PTDI President Director Gita Amperiawan said that the Dirgantara Indonesia Training Center is part of PTDI’s efforts to prepare and produce highly qualified human resources while strengthening a training ecosystem that is integrated with industry needs.

“The inauguration of the Dirgantara Indonesia Training Center today signifies that, in addition to our technical readiness, we are also ready to develop and prepare qualified human resources. Since its soft launch in January 2024, we have conducted 17 types of training programs and trained 140 participants, 60 of whom are currently in South Korea supporting the needs of our strategic partner through a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI). Going forward, qualification and certification requirements that were previously carried out overseas will be conducted in-house at PTDI. What was previously an expenditure can now potentially become a source of revenue (revenue stream) for the Company,” said PTDI President Director Gita Amperiawan.

Signing of Various Strategic Cooperation Agreements

PTDI’s 50th Anniversary momentum was also marked by the signing of several strategic cooperation agreements with PT Falah Inovasi Teknologi, PT Samson Tiara, PT Inti Steel Sejahtera, INA, Inc., and AMMROC. The agreements cover digital technology development, facilities and training services, Global Training Provider services, and Technical Rectification C295.

In the area of food security, PTDI signed a Joint Commitment with the West Java Provincial Office of Food Crops and Horticulture (Distanhorti), Paguyuban Pasundan, and PT Santana Manggala Karya to strengthen the sorghum development program with partners in West Java, while also supporting the “DI Goes to School” and Edutainment education programs.
