DEFEND ID Consolidates Strength, PTDI Becomes the Motor for Strengthening the National Aerospace Industry
Jakarta (PRSSNIJabar) - The defense industry holding company DEFEND ID continues to strengthen the business consolidation and leadership of its member companies. One highlight at the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held in Jakarta on Tuesday (May 26, 2026) was PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), which recorded a 345.97 percent surge in net profit compared to the previous year. PTDI's positive performance is considered a crucial part of DEFEND ID's grand strategy to strengthen the national defense industry ecosystem, based on high technology and with global competitiveness. Amidst the dynamics of the international aerospace industry, PTDI has successfully maintained business growth momentum while strengthening its position as the backbone of the national aircraft industry. In addition to recording significant profit growth, PTDI also achieved a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of 100.65 percent, out of a target score of 100. These results reflect the company's success in strengthening business performance, technological innovation, talent development, and strategic investment management.
The DEFEND ID Annual General Meeting of Shareholders also served as a crucial opportunity for PTDI to strengthen the company's leadership structure. Shareholders approved several changes to the board of directors' nomenclature and the strengthening of strategic functions to address the increasingly complex challenges of the defense industry. One key change was the separation of the focus on technology development and risk management through the appointment of Ony Arifianto as Director of Technology & Risk Management. This move is seen as a corporate strategy to accelerate the mastery of national aerospace technology while strengthening business governance in an era of global competition. Meanwhile, Moh. Arif Faisal retained the position of Director of Commerce & Development, while Dhias Widhiyati retained the position of Director of Finance & Human Resources. In a PTDI press release on Wednesday (May 27, 2026), Moh. Arif Faisal emphasized that the company's achievements are inseparable from the strong collaboration among members of the DEFEND ID Holding in building the independence of the national defense industry. "PTDI's performance achievements throughout 2025 are the result of strengthening its business, engineering, and production capabilities, as well as strategic collaboration with the entire national defense industry ecosystem within the DEFEND ID Holding," said Moh. Arif Faisal. He added that PTDI will continue to strengthen its mastery of aerospace technology to support national defense needs while simultaneously enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian industry in the global market.
