DSA 2022, PTDI submits Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for CN235-220M TUDM Aircraft

Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Defence Service Asia (DSA) 2022 exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, President Director of PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), Gita Amperiawan handed over the Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) of the CN235-220 Military Transport aircraft owned by Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) which was converted into a CN235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) by PTDI under the Maritime Security Initiative (MSI) program to the Air Force Commander (PTU) TUDM, General Dato Sri Mohd Asgjar Khan bin Goriman Khan. The STC handover was located at the Defend ID booth in the Indonesian Pavilion, witnessed by the Director General of Defense Potential of the Republic of Indonesia, Major General TNI Dadang Handrayudha.
The delivery of this certificate is in order to support the operational and maintenance activities of TUDM's CN235-220 Military Transport aircraft, where from a total of 3 (three) units of CN235-220 Military Transport aircraft converted into Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA), PTDI has completed one unit and the other two units are targeted for completion and delivery in April and May 2022.
The installation mission system on the TUDM aircraft has successfully obtained STC, which is the result of cooperation between the Indonesian Defense Airworthiness Authority (IDAA) of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense and the Directorate General Technical Airworthiness (DGTA) of the Malaysian Ministry of Defense.

In the international DSA 2022 exhibition, PTDI joined the Defend ID Indonesia Pavilion together with PT Len Industri (Persero), PT Pindad, PT PAL Indonesia and PT Dahana. PTDI promotes a variety of superior products, such as CN235-220, NC212i, N219, and MRO aircraft. This is one of the efforts to expand the market, increase sales, and explore other potential contracts, both for aircraft products and after sales services.
