During the visit, the President Director of PTDI discussed the development of domestic aircraft products, both those being worked on and those that have been delivered to domestic and foreign customers.

MPR RI Chairman Bambang Soesatyo supports PTDI's performance which continues to perfect the development of the N219 Nurtanio aircraft, as a proud Indonesian aircraft developed, produced and handled directly by domestic engineers which is very suitable for use in archipelagic countries such as Indonesia and other Asia Pacific countries, to transport civilian passengers, military transportation, freight or cargo transportation, medical evacuation, distribution of natural disaster relief, surveillance and patrol.

"Currently, the domestic component level of the N219 has reached 44.69 percent. It is being increased to reach 70 percent. From landing gear, avionics, to the raw materials of the aircraft are made by domestic industries. The development has gone through a series of flight tests as preparation to enter the domestic and international markets. As well as preparing for the development of the amphibious version of the N219 aircraft which has now entered the detailed design stage, to then proceed to the prototyping & structure test stage, development flight test and targeted to obtain Amendment Type Certificate (ATC) / amphibious certification in 2024, "said Bamsoet.

"To improve the commercialization capabilities of the N219 aircraft, such as ease of financing for buyers, it is necessary to support financing from Indonesian banks and with a leasing scheme by companies in Indonesia," explained Bamsoet.

In his presentation, the President Director of PTDI explained PTDI's ability to produce aircraft, previously in June 2022 PTDI had handed over 1 (one) unit of CN235-220 Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) Full Mission and 2 (two) units of AS565 MBe Panther Anti Submarine Helicopter (AKS) Full Mission to the Indonesian Ministry of Defense to be operated by Squadron 800 Puspenerbal Navy. In addition, at the end of 2021, PTDI has also successfully conducted the first flight test of the CN235-220 Flying Test Bed aircraft from Bandung to Jakarta using a 2.4 percent palm kernel oil mixture fuel, with the product name Bioavtur J2.4.

Bamsoet further added, "It is a new breakthrough for Indonesia in increasing the contribution of biofuels in the air transportation sector in order to increase national energy security and independence. As with the development of N219, the development of bioavtur must also continue to be supported and guarded, so that it can run successfully," explained Bamsoet.

As for the international market to date PTDI has sent more than 50 units of aircraft both CN235 and NC212 with various configurations to many countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Nepal, Senegal and the UAE. Regarding PTDI's ability, the Chairman of the MPR RI also expressed his interest in owning a CN235-220 aircraft produced by PTDI with a ramp door for inter-island cargo transportation which has a capacity of 5.2 tons.
