PTDI and Sari Bahari Explore Global Market Expansion for National Rocket Products
PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) and PT Sari Bahari have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the marketing of national rocket products. The signing ceremony took place at the Singapore Airshow 2026 in Singapore.
The document was signed by PTDI’s Director of Commerce, Technology & Development, Moh Arif Faisal, and PT Sari Bahari’s Vice President Director, Putra Prathama Nugraha. The agreement covers a planned cooperation for the sale of 70 mm and 80 mm caliber rockets, as well as joint exploration of international marketing opportunities for both rocket types.
This collaboration is aimed at expanding the global distribution reach of national rocket products, increasing exposure in the international market, and strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesia’s defense industry at the global level.
Moh Arif Faisal stated that the cooperation represents a strategic step in strengthening Indonesia’s position as part of the global defense industry supply chain.
“This collaboration is expected to open new opportunities for expanding the international market of national rocket products, while also increasing added value through the synergy of capabilities among domestic defense industry players,” he said, as quoted in PTDI’s official release.
Furthermore, the initiative aligns with PTDI’s commitment to advancing the independence of the national defense industry through strengthening its product portfolio, increasing business scale, and expanding its network of strategic partners, both domestically and internationally.
As the lead integrator of the national aerospace industry, PTDI has extensive experience in the development and integration of weapon systems, including airborne platforms and their supporting systems.
With its engineering, testing, and certification capabilities, PTDI continues to expand its role not only as an aircraft manufacturer, but also as a strategic partner in the development of integrated weapon systems.
The cooperation with PT Sari Bahari is expected to form part of a sustained effort to enhance the competitiveness of national defense products in the global market. (RNS)
