PTDI Partners with Polman Bandung to Introduce Aerospace Industry to High-Achieving Students
DESKJABAR - PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), in collaboration with the Bandung Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman), is promoting the development of young talent in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through the Industrial Visit (DI Edutainment) and Educational Talkshow program, Bina Talenta Indonesia 2026. The program, organized through PTDI's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL), took place at the Dharma Wanita Building and PTDI Production Area II in Bandung on Thursday, July 3, 2026. PT Reka Karsa Indonesia also participated in the event. The event is part of the Bina Talenta Indonesia Program organized by the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas) of the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen). Forty top students from seven provinces with achievements in STEM, coding, and artificial intelligence (AI) participated in the training at Polman Bandung before receiving the opportunity to visit PTDI's production facilities.
During the visit, participants were introduced directly to the aircraft manufacturing process and the development of the national aerospace industry. PTDI also facilitated an introduction to the renewable energy concept developed by Polman through direct observation in the industrial environment.
Themed "Future Industrial Dynamics: Realizing Renewable Energy in the Aircraft Industry and Optimizing the Role of Humans in the AI ??Era," participants received material on the application of the Green Aviation concept from PTDI's Forming Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, Deni Afriatna. Furthermore, participants received training on the importance of essential human skills in the era of artificial intelligence from Foresight-International Open University, delivered by Raihan Dary Henriana. As part of the series of activities, participants also took a factory tour to observe the aircraft component manufacturing process and visited PTDI's Sales Mockup Gallery to learn about the company's flagship products.
PTDI Corporate Secretary, Rommy Indah Jayanti, stated that the aerospace industry continues to move towards increasingly advanced and sustainable technology. Therefore, the younger generation needs to be equipped not only with technical skills in the STEM field, but also with an innovative mindset and the ability to utilize artificial intelligence responsibly. "Through this CSR program, PTDI hopes to bridge the gap between education and industry, fostering Indonesia's future talent," he said.
According to Rommy, through the CSR program, which focuses on developing the capacity of the younger generation, PTDI continues to strengthen its contribution to developing superior human resources ready to face future industrial challenges while supporting the creation of an increasingly competitive national industrial ecosystem.
