Feels Like a Pilot! The N219 Cockpit Becomes a Visitor Magnet at TNI Fair 2026
JAKARTA, BandungOKE — The atmosphere of TNI Fair 2026 at the Silang Monas Field, Jakarta, was not only filled with displays of defense equipment and systems (alutsista). One attraction that caught the attention of visitors was the N219 aircraft cockpit demonstrator presented by PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI).
Inside the demonstrator, visitors could explore various functions in the cockpit while experiencing what it feels like to fly the N219 like a pilot.
PTDI brought the cockpit demonstrator along with a number of aerospace products and capabilities to TNI Fair 2026, which took place on September 19–20, 2026. The event was held to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI).
At indoor booth Kemhan No. 11, PTDI displayed several aircraft products, including the CN235, NC212i, N219, and several helicopter models. Meanwhile, in the outdoor area, the company showcased the Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Elang Hitam and various rocket products.
Behind the exhibition, PTDI also promoted the idea of utilizing aerospace technology for civilian needs. The company is exploring the development of an air ambulance variant based on the NC212i and N219 platforms.
This initiative is aimed at helping expand access to healthcare services, particularly in archipelagic regions, remote areas, and places with limited ground transportation access.
PTDI is opening opportunities for collaboration on developing the air ambulance with various parties, including the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
On the first day of TNI Fair, President Director of PTDI Gita Amperiawan and Director of Technology & Risk Management Ony Arifianto attended and received several visits from the TNI environment.
“As a national aerospace industry, PTDI views its role in national defense as a responsibility that must be carried out sustainably. Therefore, we will continue to maintain the company’s capacity and readiness to participate in supporting Indonesia’s defense needs,” said Ony Arifianto, Director of Technology & Risk Management at PTDI.
PTDI’s participation alongside PT Nusantara Turbin dan Propulsi (NTP) in TNI Fair 2026 is part of efforts to strengthen the defense industry ecosystem while introducing national aerospace technology capabilities to the public.
