2026 National Internship Program: Minister of Manpower Visits PTDI, Highlights Strengthening of Industrial Human Resources
Bandung, BandungOke — The Indonesian Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, reviewed the implementation of the 2026 National Internship Program at PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) in Bandung on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
This visit was part of the government's evaluation of the implementation of the internship program, which aims to strengthen the connection between higher education and industry needs.
During the visit, Yassierli was accompanied by Surya Lukita Warman, Director of Vocational Training and Apprenticeship Development at the Ministry of Manpower. The delegation was received by PTDI's Production Director, Dena Hendriana, along with management at the PTDI Final Assembly Line (FAL) hangar.
PTDI is one of the companies involved in the 2026 National Internship Program, or MagangHub, initiated by the Ministry of Manpower.
This program provides access for university graduates to gain direct work experience in various industrial sectors.
At PTDI, the internship program was attended by 134 participants divided into three batches. Participants were placed in several work units, ranging from Aircraft Services, Finance, HR and Enabler, Program Management, Production, Engineering, and Commercial.
PTDI Production Director, Dena Hendriana, stated that industry involvement in the national internship program is crucial in preparing a workforce relevant to the needs of the high-tech sector.
"We believe that synergy between industry and the government is key to creating superior human resources ready to compete globally. PTDI will continue to support human resource development through training, internships, and collaboration with various educational institutions. We hope that the Minister's visit today will further strengthen this collaboration in improving the quality of the Indonesian workforce, particularly in the high-tech industry," said Dena.
The National Internship Program itself is designed as a government instrument to improve the quality of young workers through hands-on experience in the workplace. The program involves various sectors, from the creative industry, technology, banking, manufacturing, and logistics.
Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that the review results showed that the interns gained relatively comprehensive experience during the program at PTDI.
"Thank God, the review results show that the internship experience at PTDI was very memorable, especially for participants who worked directly in the final assembly hangar. This program has successfully provided real-world experience for fresh graduates from various universities. We appreciate PTDI and other partner companies for providing internships, and we hope this program will continue annually to support the development of superior human resources," said Yassierli.
According to him, the involvement of strategic industries like PTDI is crucial in ensuring that the internship program is not merely administrative but truly provides relevant work experience for participants.
In addition to inspecting production facilities, the Ministry of Manpower delegation also held dialogues with interns to hear firsthand about their experiences during the program.
The government hopes that feedback from participants and mentors will serve as evaluation material to improve the quality of the National Internship Program in the future.
