Supporting Healthy and Active Seniors, PTDI Holds Free Health Check-ups

Bandung (June 11) – In an effort to improve public health, particularly for the elderly, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) continues its contribution to the community through various Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programs. One such effort is the provision of free health check-ups at the Integrated Development Post (Posbindu) in RW 03, Cijagra Village, Lengkong District, Bandung City.

This routine activity is one of PTDI's contributions to supporting promotive and preventive efforts in public health. As the elderly population increases, attention to their health becomes increasingly important to ensure they remain healthy, active, and independent in their daily lives.

A total of 80 seniors participated in the health check-ups, which included blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels. The entire examination was conducted by a medical team from the PTDI polyclinic, who also provided consultations and health education to the participants according to their individual conditions.

PTDI's Community and Social Security (TJSL) Manager, Kerry Apriawan, stated that the health of the elderly is a crucial aspect in creating a prosperous and quality society. "Through this Posbindu (Community Health Post) activity, PTDI wants to raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining health through regular check-ups. Early detection is a simple yet crucial step in preventing the development of various non-communicable diseases that are common among the elderly. We hope this program can provide real benefits to the community and help the elderly stay healthy, active, and independent," he said.

The Posbindu function not only as a means of monitoring public health but also as an educational platform that helps raise public awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Through health services provided directly in the community's neighborhood, the elderly can obtain easier and more affordable access to health check-ups.

Based on monitoring by the Cijagra Posbindu, non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, and gout remain common health challenges among the elderly. Therefore, regular health check-ups are a crucial step in supporting early detection and prevention efforts to minimize the risk of complications.

This program is part of PTDI's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to creating sustainable social value by improving the health of the community, particularly the elderly. Through this program, PTDI hopes to contribute to supporting the realization of healthy, independent, active, and productive seniors, so they can maintain a good quality of life and continue to play a role in their families and communities.
