PTDI Supports Elderly Health and Activity Through Free Health Check-ups

Bandung, BandungOke — That morning, dozens of elderly residents lined up orderly at the Integrated Health Development Post (Posbindu) in RW 03, Cijagra Village, Lengkong District, Bandung City.

They came not only for health check-ups, but also to receive education on how to stay healthy and active in old age.

Through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero) once again held free health check-ups for the elderly.

This routine activity is part of the company's efforts to support improving the quality of public health, especially for the elderly who are vulnerable to various non-communicable diseases.

A total of 80 elderly residents participated in the health check-ups, which included blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid levels.

The examinations were conducted by a medical team from the PTDI polyclinic, who also provided health consultations tailored to each participant's individual condition.

PTDI's Community Service and Health (TJSL) Manager, Kerry Apriawan, stated that the health of the elderly is a crucial aspect in creating a prosperous and quality society.

"Through this Posbindu (Community Health Post) activity, PTDI wants to raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining health through regular check-ups," Kerry said in a press release on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

According to him, early detection is a simple yet crucial step in preventing the development of various non-communicable diseases that are common among the elderly.

"We hope this program can provide real benefits to the community and help the elderly stay healthy, active, and independent," Kerry said.

He emphasized that the Posbindu serves not only as a place for health check-ups, but also as a space for educating the community about the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

With services available directly to residents, access to health check-ups becomes easier and more affordable.

Based on monitoring by the Cijagra Posbindu, several non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, and gout remain common health problems among the elderly.

Therefore, regular health check-ups are considered crucial to support early detection and prevent the risk of more serious complications.

This free health check-up program is part of PTDI's ongoing commitment to creating social value for the community.

Through this program, the company hopes to help create healthy, independent, active, and productive seniors, ensuring a good quality of life and continuing to play a role in their families and communities.***
