PTDI Accelerates MRO Business Expansion, Partners with PT ANI to Build New Ecosystem

Bandung, BandungOke – PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) is strengthening its Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) business expansion by partnering with PT Aero Nusantara Indonesia (PT ANI). The partnership, signed at the IISAR 2026 event in Jakarta, marks a strategic move to bolster the national aircraft maintenance ecosystem while targeting the steadily growing regional MRO market. The collaboration between the two companies encompasses the utilization of hangars, logistics facilities, work equipment, and technology, as well as the deployment of certified personnel. This synergy is expected to enhance service efficiency while reducing the Indonesian aviation industry's reliance on overseas MRO facilities. PTDI’s Director of Commerce and Development, Moh. Arif Faisal, stated that collaboration is key to building a more self-reliant aerospace industry. "PTDI believes that strengthening the national MRO industry can only be achieved through complementary collaboration among domestic industry players," he said, as quoted on Sunday, July 12, 2026. "We hope this synergy will not only increase the capacity and quality of national MRO services but also strengthen the independence of Indonesia's aerospace industry and open up greater opportunities for national MRO services to compete in the regional market," he added. Through its Aircraft Services unit, PTDI has long provided maintenance, overhaul, modification, and capability enhancement services for both civil and military aircraft. Access to international-standard facilities serves as a crucial asset in capturing opportunities within the ever-expanding aviation business. PT ANI President Director Otto Sigit Budianto emphasized his company's readiness to boost the competitiveness of national MRO services by prioritizing safety, quality, and compliance with international standards. This partnership will be followed up with various new business programs aimed at strengthening the aviation industry supply chain. For PTDI, this move represents more than just an operational collaboration; it is a strategy to increase the value-added of the national aerospace industry and reinforce Indonesia's position as an MRO service hub in Southeast Asia.
