PTDI Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Dirgantara Cup 2026, Promoting Sportsmanship and Collaboration
DESKJABAR - To commemorate its 50th anniversary, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI Persero) is once again holding a series of sporting events as part of the 2026 Dirgantara Cup. The tournament features a range of sports, including badminton, mini soccer, basketball, billiards, padel, E-Sports, and Rapid Chess, bringing together PTDI employees, sports communities, and members of the public.
Under the theme of PTDI's 50th anniversary, “Golden Legacy, Global Horizon: Menjaga Kedaulatan Bangsa, Mengangkasa di Panggung Dunia,” the 2026 Dirgantara Cup serves as an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the industrial sector, sports communities, and the public through sporting activities that combine education, culture, sportsmanship, and togetherness.
The 2026 Dirgantara Cup began with a badminton tournament held from July 27 to August 19, 2026, at the B.J. Habibie Auditorium, PKSN. This was followed by a mini soccer tournament, held from August 1 to 22, 2026, at Bintang Sport Mini Soccer in Cimahi. The series will continue with various other sporting competitions, including the Rapid Chess tournament, which brings together chess players from different regions across Indonesia.
The entire series of events will culminate in PTDI's 50th anniversary celebration on August 29, 2026, through the Runtainment event.
The PTDI Rapid Chess Tournament is being held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the lobby area of the B.J. Habibie Auditorium Building at PTDI. The event is attended by Asep Mulyana, Chairman of the West Java Provincial Board of the Indonesian Chess Association (PERCASI); Nuryadi, Chairman of the Bandung City National Sports Committee (KONI); and Salahuddin Al Ayubi, Chairman of the Bandung City Board of PERCASI. In collaboration with PERCASI, the tournament is a national-level rapid chess competition featuring 500 participants representing 11 provinces across Indonesia.
